Finding Productivity?

Low productivity! – Why?

Is it because there is nothing to do? Or rather, is it because there are so many things to do, we don’t know where to begin?

Very often it is the latter.

Indecisiveness! Feeling of overwhelm… Even confusion when contemplating where to start.

They say, “Set goals.” They say, “Make them ‘SMART'”.

However, after some time it seems like we are stuck instead. A place we’d rather not be.

But, is there a flip side? A positive outcome?

I sure hope so!

It is something that has to be discovered… Like a treasure laying in wait for the one who finds it.

What’s your position on the Bat vigilante?

Did you know that Spider-Man lives with his auntie?

I wonder if I could pinch things from comics,

and create things about characters that are iconic.

To produce something silly and funny.

Possibly, making someone laugh.

And perhaps, make them cry.

Because of the ache in their tummy.

If you smell-ll-ll-ll-ll what The Rock is cooking.

Chocolate brownies.

They’re yummy!

The Return of VARIAN

Captain’s b-log. Sunday 16th May 2021.

It has been quite some time since I last posted here.

And, I’m here, and I’m posting again. Yay!

So despite the absence, currently this blog still lives. Awesome.

So, let’s see what we can do for the next steps of this blog site.

Keep on writing. Let words flow. That’s how the story goes.

And this piece of work, is to progress and continue.

It’s a kind of project of sorts. A product of hard work. A labour of love. A passion for creativity and art.

Thoughts on Writing/Reading/Blogging – Part Two

So, I wonder what happens… Do people actually bother reading blog posts? And actually read them from beginning to end in a linear fashion.  Whilst not missing bits out?

If you asked them a question about it afterwards, would they be able to answer it? I mean a very specific question, such as “What would you do if you were in the situation of the person called [whatever his/her name is] was in, that the blog poster was describing?”  Questions like this.  Would the so-called ‘reader’ even know what you meant? They should be able to give a proper response, that is, assuming they actually even read the stuff properly.

How much of viewers’ activity is simply ‘clickety-click through’ and/or ‘swipey-swipe through’, with little or no attention given to the content.  What would happen if they paused and actually read through content?  And perhaps had a look at what other content was being displayed?

Perhaps, perhaps, it just might be worth it…

Thoughts on Writing/Reading/Blogging – Part One

Are you interested in writing? But not so interested in reading? Do you want your stuff to be seen? But don’t really want to look at others’ stuff?

Is that bad?

Should a person feel guilty for being the ‘writer who won’t read’?  Isn’t it like an ‘artist’ who has hardly any appreciation for, you know, ‘art’ (that other artists produce)?

I kind of feel, that there is quite a number of us out there who would match some of those descriptions.

But, we live in an age of mass media, digital content, huge amounts of information, all at our fingertips on demand. It is easy to miss things. There is too much out there, to pay attention to it all.

People have also become self-obsessed. Instead of giving attention, always wanting to be the centre of it.

The mindset of the norm nowadays: “Hey, look at ME! MEEE! ME!!!!! … ‘You’??? ‘You’ who??? Anyway, look at ME!!!”

So, I wonder what happens…

This article will continue in another blog post.

To be continued…
